The Gods and Goddesses of Anglesey

The Gods and Goddesses are best known during the New Kings period of Anglesey (follow this link for a detailed write-up of the Gods/Goddesses, Powers, Worship, Clerics, etc.)
These Gods/Goddesses are rooted in the pre-invasion period. Records are scarce from this time as the Empire forces worked to stamp out all vestiges of pre-invasion culture. Thus, scholars are divided on how much the view of these Gods or even their very nature has changed over time. While, privately, all scholars agree that this entire religion is just too organized and suited to the New Kings' pattern of society and rule to be random chance; only the New Kings and the Gods themselves know how much the one influenced the other. Whatever the case, this Religion is deeply rooted in the everyday life of all citizens in what appears to be an extremely mutual beneficial relationship.
Key features:
1. A high God and Goddess with lesser Gods and Goddess. All are in married couples with the male and female representing different aspects of an area of concern - e.g. war and peace; but both equal in power and status. All are in the "Good" end of the spectrum.
2. The deities very closely support the daily life of the population causing a devout population.
3. Likewise, there is an extremely close link between the policies and goals of the New Kings' government and the Gods/religion...
4. Each pair of God and Goddess are opposed by an "Unmaker" who is their opposite. For instance, health and wellness is opposed by sickness..
