God of Greed and Ill-Fortune
Appearance and Nature: This particular god seems to favour humanoid forms. While he is willing to don any aspect to further his cause, he is partial to ones that conspicuously display wealth. Cooperation is uncommon among the evil deities, but this God is always willing to make a deal. He is quite willing to let his followers serve the agenda of other Gods as long as the underlying motive remains greed. In return, he asks for the final earthly fate of any of their wealthy followers. This God delights in having humans become slaves to their greed and, when he is done with them, showing them the wealth means nothing or destroying that wealth – usually in some spectacular form of ill-fortune that convinces others that the ‘victim’ pushed his luck once too far... It is believed that improbably bad events will happen when this God is present – not impossible, just very unlikely and unfortunate in some way to the victim of this effect….
Symbol: (as shown) a heavily locked chest.
Followers: Many Gamblers and Rogues follow this God. In their opinion, the Lady of Fortune is too sparing in granting luck and expects her worshipers to ‘create their own luck’ by working for it. Other followers are from the spectrum of society – where ever you find someone who prizes riches far above anything else…..
Priests: These priests encourage greedy behaviour and discourage any measures to rein in such behaviour. They work behind the scenes to create situations where greed with an ultimate fall can happen. As for spells, these priests specialize in spells related to curses and luck (both bad and good). They may also have substantial access to illusion spells…..
Opposing Gods: Lord of Trade and Lady of Fortune and Wealth.
