God of Forgetfulness and Ignorance
Appearance and Nature: Most speculation paints this God as a wizened up old man with a vacant expression. A few others describe him as an all consuming flame. Either way, the scholars are basing their speculation on an appearance that suits the nature of this God. This god is about the suppression or corruption of knowledge and learning.
Symbol: (as shown) burning scrolls or books
Followers: This deity’s followers are not for the destruction of knowledge; rather they view knowledge as a precious resource that only belongs in their very own hands. As a result, while they hoard any scraps of information/learning, they will restrict/destroy/corrupt the flow of knowledge to other people. Of course, when these followers die, the knowledge they gathered typically dies with them…
Priests: Typically the priests will leave the destruction of knowledge up to other people. They will stoke the fear/prejudice/ignorance of a mob and encourage them to “burn out the heretics” – a mob totally ignorant of the priest’s real identities. One of their favorite tactics is to corrupt knowledge in a dangerous fashion that will either threaten the life or reputation of the victim. However, scholars are unsure if these actions are by priests of this deity or just the acts of followers/bigots/rabble rousers/…. Likewise, scholars cannot say definitively that these priests have mind control spells that enable them to alter, replace, or erase the thoughts, memories, and character of their victims. However, since these powers were known in the Empire, it is likely that such knowledge has spread to priests of this cult….
